Feis Maitiú cup winners announced

More than 2,000 people participated in the Feis Maitiú drama and performance competition held at the Mill Theatre, Dundrum, Dublin recently. The main cup winners were:

Fr Leonard Record Cup: Daire Ó Catháin.

Joan Cuthbert Cup (Shakespeare drama and sonnet): 1st Ceara Dorman; 2nd Diarmaid Kelly; 3rd Peter McCormick.

Senior Shakespeare Cup: 1st William Dunleavy; 2nd Síne Kenny; 3rd Caoimhe Bermingham; highly commended, Kevin Joyce.

Brendan Kennelly Cup: 1st Gavin Walsh; 2nd Sam Balfe. Highest mark in drama: Anabel Sweeney.

Ena Mary Burke Cup: 1st William Dunleavy; 2nd Hana McKeown; 3rd Niamh Kennedy.

Lily Kavanagh Cup: 1st Ella Scally; 2nd Emer Griffen; joint 3rd Daire Ó Catháin and Alison Devlin.

Peter Martin Trophy: Fionn Flanagan.

Sean O'Casey Cup: 1st Aoibheann Reddy; 2nd Remy Naidoo; joint 3rd Caoimhe Bermingham and Sorcha Brennan; highly commended, Sam O'Neill.

Junior Shakespeare Cup: 1st Emma Canning; joint 2nd Eabha McKeown and Gianna Norden; 3rd John Doran.

Potential Cups: Anabel Sweeney and Claire O’Mahony (senior).
