Break out the factor 50: a spell of good weather is on the way according to forecasters.
Many parts of the country are being treated to sunshine and pleasant conditions today, but Met Éireann says next week will be even warmer.
“There are indications that mainly dry, settled weather will develop for Sunday and early next week, with gradual rising temperatures and increasing amounts of sunshine,” according to the national forecaster in its latest prediction.
Tomorrow will start mainly dry in the east and north with some sunny spells but some light and showery rain in the west and south will spread into Leinster and Ulster during the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to to 16 degrees
There is a risk of some thundery rain on Thursday but there will be sunny intervals as well, while Friday is looking dry with a mix of cloudy periods and some sunshine.
