Dublin City Council has warned residents in the north east of the capital that they will experience distruptions to their water supply this Sunday as a result of works in the area.
The areas which will suffer from reduced water pressure, and in some cases a loss of supply include parts of Donnycarney, Artane, Raheny and Coolock.
The council has said the works will being at 6.00am on Sunday June 30th and continue until midnight.
"The water disruption is due to essential and planned work being carried out by Dublin City Council's Water Services Division. This includes the installation of a new water meter and a number of valves on a large 18 inch distribution main. The work will improve the performance of the water distribution system and we are carrying them out on a Sunday to minimise the impact of the disruption to our customers", said Tom Leahy, Executive Manager (Engineering) with Dublin City Council.
A stationary tanker will be located close to the grounds of Donnycarney Parish Church on Malahide Road from 9.30am-5pm on Sunday , leaving occasionally for short periods to refill. Residents can also request a tanker by calling the council.
