Irish temperatures almost as high as Florida, Paris and Rome

Tuesday expected to be hottest day of the year with temperatures set to reach 28 °C

Are you jetting off to somewhere exotic this week to soak up some vitamin D? Well, you can wipe that smug look off your face because the green grass of home is set to see similar temperatures to those more fortunate climates over the next 24 hours.

Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the year in Ireland with temperatures set to reach 28 °C across parts of the midlands and western areas. So how does this compare to other holiday destinations favoured by Irish travellers?

Paris – Peak 35 °C

Currently the temperature in Paris is sitting around 32 °C, but that is expected to rise and peak at 35 °C in the evening, before dropping to an overnight temperature of between 25-27 °C.

Madrid – Peak 37 °C

Today in Madrid temperatures are expected to peak at 37 °C around 5 pm in the evening and stay at that range until 8 pm. It is expected to start raining in Madrid at 11 pm but temperatures are only expected to drop to 31 °C. The overnight temperature across Madrid is expected to hover around 24 to 25 °C.

Rome – Peak 36 °C

Temperatures in Rome are expected to hit 36 °C by 5 pm today. With no rain predicted, it is expected to be a sweltering day and a warm night with overnight temperatures expected to be hovering around 23 °C.

Orlando Florida – Peak 29 °C

The tourist hot spot of the US will have an average temperature of 29 °C across most of today, but the humidity is expected to be as high 88 per cent, which will be drawing in the thunderstorms and rain which Florida is known for.

Athens – Peak 34 °C

A very sunny day is expected in Athens, with temperatures expected to reach 31 °C by 3 pm. After this temperatures will continue to drop to an overnight temperature of 25 °C.

Istanbul - Peak 25 °C

The weather in Istanbul was cloudy today but temperatures remained high at 25 °C. It is set to come down to an overnight expected temperature of 21 °C.

Dubai – Peak 43 °C

Temperature in Dubai peaked at 43 °C today and is expected to drop to 34 °C by 10 pm tonight with an overnight expected temperature hovering around 32 and 33 °C. Good luck getting a night’s sleep in that.
