Training courses at Age Ireland

Carers often have to take on a caring role without any formal training. This can be a daunting and a lonely experience

Carers often have to take on a caring role without any formal training. This can be a daunting and a lonely experience. To help overcome these problems, Age Action Ireland runs carer-training courses designed to give carers the skills and confidence to make caring in the home easier. It also providers carers with a forum in which to ask questions and meet other people in a similar situation. Age Action runs courses in various centres and you can get more information by contacting Eileen McCaffrey at Age Action Ireland on (01) 475 6989. The organisation is also always on the look out for volunteers to help in its shops and for donations of bric-a-brac, books and other items in good condition that would be suitable for sale. For details of your nearest shop contact head office at (01) 475 6989.
