The 17-year-old who died yesterday morning following a crash in Wicklow has been named.

The 17-year-old who died yesterday morning following a crash in Wicklow has been named.

Rory Attley, The Avenue, Wicklow town, was killed when the car he was driving hit another car at 11am yesterday morning. The incident happened at Ballinalee, Ashford.

Gardaí and ambulance personnel were called to the scene but the young man died before being taken to Loughlinstown hospital in south Dublin for post- mortem.

Three other people were injured in the accident, including the driver and passenger of the second car and the passenger in Mr Attley's car.

They were all taken to Tallaght hospital, where their condition has been described as stable.

Gardaí in Wicklow are investigating the crash and have called for anyone who may have witnessed it to contact them.
