Armagh football fans travelling to Croke Park tomorrow have been advised to take the N2 or N3 where possible, due to road works on the M1/N/1.

The road will be closed at Whitehall, from the Coolock interchange to Collins Avenue extension. This is past the M50 on the way into the city centre from the airport. The road will reopen on Monday morning.

Extra signs will be in place to direct people travelling to Croke Park and motorists are advised to allow plenty of time for their journeys.

Motorists should also remember that access to Santry village will be via the old airport road and Shantalla Bridge will be demolished.

The temporary Bailey bridge at Shantalla will be open but there will be a five-metre height restriction at this bridge. The Shantalla quality bus corridor/city bound slip road will be open.

Meanwhile, customers who use Dublin Bus's number 43 route to Swords have been advised of a temporary change of route until September 7th, due to road works in Kinsealy.

Drynam Road (Rockingham Terrace) will close between Monday and Saturday for road works.

The outbound bus will turn right at the new roundabout at Kinsealy and travel along the new road up the Malahide/Swords Road and then onto Swords.

The inbound service will divert down the Malahide/Swords Road, then down the new road, turning left at the new roundabout onto the Drynam/Feltrim Road.

Iarnród Éireann has already warned commuters about disruption to and from Heuston and Connolly stations this weekend, due to improvement works.

No trains are entering or leaving Heuston Station today, or tomorrow until 4 p.m., and buses are transferring passengers to and from stations in Kildare to continue their Intercity journeys.

At Connolly Station, the work on the East Wall road bridge is affecting northside DART and Drogheda/Dundalk services.

For details on all these disruptions, contact any Iarnród Éireann station or ring the information line at 1850 366 222.

Full details are also carried on the Iarnród Éireann website at www.irishrail.ie
