  • 4pm: First confirmed witness sighting on Rosses Point beach
  • 11.50pm: Last confirmed witness sighting on the beach

  • 8am: Pronounced dead at scene by Dr Valerie McGowan
  • 8.20am: Body removed to Sligo University Hospital morgue by undertakers
