Inchydoney Beach in Clonakilty, Co Cork has been named the best beach in Ireland in TripAdvisor's 2019 Travellers' Choice awards for beaches.
Second place this year goes to Banna Strand in Tralee, while Inch Beach in Inch, Co Kerry comes in third place.
Travellers' Choice Beaches award-winners are based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings for beaches on TripAdvisor gathered over a 12-month period.
Reviews for Inchydoney describe the popular beach as, “spectacular” and “superb”.
Other Irish beaches features in the top 10 include Strandhill Beach in Sligo and Derrynane Beach on the Ring of Kerry.
Spain's La Concha Beach in San Sebastian has claimed the top spot in Europe while Baia do Sancho in Brazil has been named the overall winner for the best-rated beach in the world.
