Now that the spending party’s back on (or so we’re told), we can probably afford to pick up a Christmas hamper. After all, we don’t want to arrive up at the relations on Christmas day with our arms hanging.
So why not splash out this year and order the World’s Most Decadent Christmas Hamper, and really enjoy a rich festive feast. Available from

, the hamper contains some of the most expensive foodstuffs ever produced, including a rare caviar, goose foie gras, champagne fit for a royal wedding, and cognac that’s been ageing smoothly since 1789. You won’t pick up this one in Lidl.
Hungry hooray Henrys will be going straight for the rare Golden Almas Iranian caviar, made from the golden-yellow eggs carried by only one in 6,000 sturgeon. Then they’ll probably pop open a tin of goose foie gras with black truffles, followed by a slice of Joselita gran reserve ham from Spain, which is aged for four years to make it truly magnifico.
After that, they’ll wash it down with a flute of Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon 1961. Not any old Dee Pee, mind; this particular vintage was the official champagne at the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. Then they can retire to the drawing-room with a snifter of Cognac Jules Robin 1789, aged to near-perfection over two centuries.
“This is a truly remarkable hamper that overshadows any that has ever been created,” says Marcel Knobil, who founded VeryFirstTo. The website was set up to alert rich people when a new luxury item is ready to be launched, so they can be first in the queue to nab the coveted item.
Who will be queuing up to buy this hamper is anyone’s guess, but there’s no doubt a few toffs around will be tempted by the treats on offer. But now that we’re all swimming in cash again (so they tell us) it’s open season on the high-end stuff.
The hamper also contains a tin of Love 2014 Saint James Prunier Cavier (you’re really paying for the Yves Saint Laurent design on the tin); The Glenlivet vintage 1964 scotch; 25-year-old balsamic vinegar; acorn-fed Iberian Chorizo; two Versace champagne flutes and a mother of pearl caviar serving dish and spoons. There are lots more rare luxury treats packed into the hamper, so you’ll get plenty of bang for your €108,000. The only thing not included is the very large bottle of Gaviscon you’re going to need after gorging on this basket of goodies.
Buyers in the UK have until Friday 19th to get their order in for delivery by Christmas Day, and a £1,000 donation will be made to the Prince’s Trust when the hamper is purchased.
