Food comes in all shapes and forms
Some like it hot, some like it cold
The food that is best, comes from the soul
Served in a dish, plates or a bowl

Food comes with funny names
Some are from abroad, some are lame
The names I like best, are the ones I eat most
Butter and Jam, served on toast

Food comes at certain times
Some in the morning, some in the night
Usually I find the time I like best
Is when its delivered with taste and zest

Food comes in different packages
Some are in cartons some are in wrappers
The food I like best, comes in its own skin
Unless its peaches straight from a tin

Food comes in to my day
When I'm at home and when I'm away
Different cuisines I can't decide what I like
French, Italian, Indian or delivered by bike

Food is something we all forget
It isn't always there for all to get
Please be mindful of this fact
To share food is the most loving act
