BEAUTY: Renowned photographer Terry O’Neill’s portfolio reads like a who’s who from the music, movie and sports world

BEAUTY:Renowned photographer Terry O'Neill's portfolio reads like a who's who from the music, movie and sports world. Beginning in the 1960s when he captured such greats as Judy Garland and The Beatles, his unconventional style and candid settings produced some of the most iconic celebrity images of the last century.

An exhibition of his photographs called Intimate, at Kildare Village, showcases the more natural side of well known faces. One of the highlights of the collection is this famous poolside shot of O’Neill’s girlfriend at the time, Faye Dunaway, the morning after her Oscar win for Network, at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Designer Michael Kors was so taken by this image epitomising Hollywood that it inspired a perfume. Very Hollywood is pure glamour in a bottle, or in this cocktail ring (€60), which holds a solid version of the scent. The exhibition runs until the end of the month at Kildare Village – a great day out in the otherwise dull month of January.
