A motorcyclist in his 60s was killed in a crash with a car in Co Donegal shortly before rush-hour on Friday.
The crash took place on the N56 at Termon at approximately 4.30pm.
The motorcyclist received treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital and a postmortem is set to take place.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital with non-serious injuries.

The N56 was closed on Friday evening for a forensic examination by Garda technical staff with local diversions put in place.
Witnesses to the incident, those who may have relevant dashcam footage, and drivers who were on the N56 between the Lagoon Restaurant & Guesthouse and Creeslough in the hour surrounding the crash have been asked to contact gardaí.
Separately, the Garda has issued an appeal after a “serious” hit-and-run in Blackpool, Co Cork, which has resulted in a moped rider being hospitalised.
A grey Skoda estate car left the scene of the collision near the Thomas David Bridge junction on the North City Link Road at about 5.30pm on Friday, gardaí said.
The moped rider was brought to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
The force is seeking witnesses or video footage from vehicles near the scene at the time of the incident.
The death of the motorcyclist in Donegal brings the number of deaths on Irish roads so far this year to 112.
That represents 12 per cent more deaths than on August 7th, 2025, when 99 people had died in road crashes at that point last year.
A total of 16 motorcyclists have been killed in crashes this year.
