An Irish man is understood to have died in Phuket, Thailand.
The man’s body was found in water on Thursday morning, according to Thai media reports.
Local media said the 28-year-old man was holidaying in the Phuket area when he went swimming in a lagoon on Tuesday night.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it was aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
