We could be cynical and wonder how many tickets are actually selling for Aslan’s forthcoming 30th anniversary gig at Tallaght Stadium on June 30th. But, this thought aside, you have to give the band full credit for making the decision to reduce the price from €49.50 to €25.

The veteran Dublin rockers – whose latest album, Nudie Books and Frenchies, has gotten widespread airplay since its release two months ago – see the show as a vindication of their status as one of Irish music’s most established bands.

“The show is a celebration that we’ve made it through 30 years together,” says longtime member Billy McGuinness. “We still have thousands of fans who made us number one in the Irish charts a few weeks ago.”

“The main thing for us,” chips in Aslan’s lead singer, Christy Dignam, “is that the concert is open to everyone, no matter what their situation.”

The reduced ticket offer is open until midnight on Sunday, June 10th. Original tickets should be returned to point of purchase, where they will be replaced with a new ticket. Purchasers will also be refunded the cost difference between the original standing ticket price (€49.65) or the original seated ticket price (€54.65).

The Tallaght Stadium show also features Kaiser Chiefs, Royseven and new Irish act Red Empire.
