Liam Gallagher: You Better Run (Warner) ★★
During the 1998 World Cup, the English football squad hatched a plan to relieve the boredom of training camp life by sneaking as many cheesy song titles as they could into TV interviews. ("You won't get any careless whispers out of me," Gareth Southgate told one BBC presenter, when asked about team selection. "We're dancing on the ceiling, Bob," Alan Shearer gushed after their opening victory etc etc.) On his debut solo album, another 1990s throwback, Liam Gallagher appears to be playing a similar game. "Angels gimme shelter," he sings here. "Cause I'm about to fall/And it's all gone helter skelter." As a lyricist, he may running on empty. But as a madlibs contender, well, he's dancing on the ceiling, Bob . . .

Tove Lo: Disco Tits (Island) ★★★
On the lead single from her forthcoming Blue Lips album, Sweden's most outrageous pop star swears on a kids' TV show, performs sex acts with a puppet, get in a bar-room punch-up and . . . You know what? I can't even describe the rest of this video in a family newspaper. Clearly, going on tour with Coldplay changes a person.

Kelela: LMK (Warp) ★★★★
On the lead single from her acclaimed debut album, Take Me Apart, Ethiopian-American R&B artist Kelela Mizanekristos spends three and a half minutes asking her casual fling to clarify whether or not he plans to come over (the title stands for "let me know"), while simultaneously professing not to care either way. Which is like that episode of Friends where Monica wants to sound breezy around her ex and ends up leaving him a phone message declaring, "I'm breezy". Sorry, but that's not how it works.

Dua Lipa: New Rules (Donald Trump Remix) ★★★
This mash-up of Donald Trump singing Dua Lipa's smash hit may amuse you (if he hasn't blown up the world by the time this goes to print).
