The fascination for 1990s r'n'b among modern producers and artists continues to pay dividends. Who would have thought way back then that the work of Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins & co would prove so alluring two decades on? On Pull My Hair, Canadian singer Jessy Lanza and producer Jeremy Greenspan (from Junior Boys) go to work shape-shifting those familiar templates of old. The results are understated songs that slip and slide between hazy ambience and wispy, off-kilter electropop, with the occasional odd glance towards the dancefloor. Lanza has an appealing, slender voice, perfectly suited to the gossamer-
