A multi-cultural trio who met at Liverpool's Institute of Performing Arts, you can expect to hear a lot of All We Are in 2015 – not least because of their self-assured debut album. Irish drummer Rich O'Flynn, Brazilian guitarist Luís Santos and Norwegian bassist Guro Gikling's collective sound borrows from recent acts, like the off-kilter intricacy of Metronomy (Feel Safe) and the slouchy retro soul-funk of Jungle (Keep Me Alive).

It's not the most novel- sounding album, then, but the hip-shimmying pop of Honey is irresistible and their penchant for harmonies and swapping vocals mixes things up nicely. The cons? The dreamy throb of Gikling's bass provides some groovy moments, but ultimately lends the album a certain homogeny. Still, it's a sure-footed and often stirring foundation.
