Is this the best time to have a filthy-rich miser as a hero? DuckTales, a classic that first appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System, has been givena mostly cosmetic makeover. It's a 2D platform game in which you play the penny-pinching Scrooge McDuck on a treasure hunt. He travels to jungles, mountains, haunted houses and ultimately the moon. And yes, you also get to swim in his pool of gold coins. While DuckTales Remastered is very child-friendly, it's also pretty challenging. Unlike the Mario games (from which it borrows liberally), you have to bounce on a pogo stick to dispatch enemies, which is very difficult in closed quarters. It's a good idea to have so many levels accessible from the get-go. Finding the Amazon too hard? Just skip to the Himalayas. The graphics and music are lovely, and kids (many of whom won't be familiar with Scrooge McDuck) will love it.
