Your step falls soft upon my grave
But you know not I dwell within.
Nearby the sound of wind and wave
Sole company for me herein.
My grave it was in secret dug
In secret was my body laid,
No priest no psalm no incense burned
Attending my demise from earth.
Only those who put me here
Can tell my family or my friends bereft.
But their dark souls refuse to give
One jot of peace to those now left.
One day perhaps in time to come
The sea will ebb, flow and leave exposed
Into the searing light of justice slowed
This dreadful tale of murder done.
Until then, I lie unknown
