Zinkworks to create 50 high-tech jobs in Co Donegal

Zinkworks, a software development company that specialises in the telecommunications and financial sector, is to create 50 high-tech jobs over the next 18 months in Co Donegal.

The company, which is headquartered in Athlone, Co Westmeath, is establishing a new software engineering hub in the CoLab facility on the Letterkenny IT Campus.

Founded in 2018 and currently employing 180 people, Zinkworks primary focus in in research and development in Telecommunications, particularly on 5G.

The Letterkenny hub will provide software development services including network consulting, network deployment, telecommunications R&D, and ICT consultancy.

Chief executive Paul Madden described the expansion as "an exciting step on the company's journey."

The new jobs are supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
