Qualtrics to create additional 95 jobs at its Irish operation

Business software firm is on a major expansion drive after secuting $150m in venture capital

Business software firm Qualtrics is to create an additional 95 jobs at its Irish operation over the next two years.

The Utah-based start-up, which produces cloud-based survey software, just recently secured $150 million in venture capital and now boasts a client lists that includes Microsoft, MasterCard and Kellogg's.

The company said the new stream of funding would go towards product development and overseas expansion.

As part of this, Qualtrics, which already employs 55 people at its European headquarters in Dublin, said it planned to hire an additional 95 staff here.

"Qualtrics will leverage this latest financing round to enhance its product portfolio and to further expand its operations in Ireland and move into new geographic and vertical markets in Europe, " it said.

Chief executive Ryan Smith said: "Every organisation in the world needs Qualtrics. Today, customers and employees feel entitled to say what they think, and they'll say it whether you're listening or not," chief executive Ryan Smith added.

The company said its recent funding drive was led by Insight Venture Partners with participation from original investors, Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital.
