Software company LiveTiles has launched its first product from its Sligo base, having set up an innovation centre there earlier this year at which it plans to employ 50 people.

The technology company, which produces for both large and small companies, has launched a product called “Neon Circle”, an intranet – or private network within a business – which will soon include artificial intelligence and analytics for businesses.

Headquartered in New York, LiveTiles offers “no code, drag and drop” technology that allows business users to create easily adoptable dashboards, portals or corporate intranets that can be customised.

The company’s “Neon Circle” product has been developed in response to customer demand and can be custom-branded for individual companies.

"We designed Neon Circle as something that will evolve, with an emphasis on immediately improving communication and social interaction in the workplace," explained Elaine Murphy, managing director for LiveTiles in Ireland.

The company’s founder, Peter Nguyen-Brown, said it was a “fantastic start” to have its first product up and running after just three months in Sligo.

“Our intention is to continue to develop AI-powered software solutions for the global market from our Sligo hub with the fantastic talent and culture we have here in the northwest,” he added.

Founded in 2014 in Australia, LiveTiles now has a customer list that includes PepsiCo and the US department of defence. Having set up its Sligo office in May of this year, the company says it is working on "ambitious" artificial intelligence products ranging from health and safety to wellness in the workplace.
