Mobile operator iD has unveiled a new early upgrade scheme that could allow customers to change their handsets after 90 days.
The network, which is a mobile virtual network operator owned by Carphone Warehouse, is also beginning to offer flexible mobile broadband plans to customers.
The early upgrade scheme will let bill-pay customers trade in their handset to offset some of the cost of funding a new one, which can then be traded in again after a further 90 days.
ID splits the cost of a handset across 12, 18 and 24 month contracts, but it separates the cost of the phone from the monthly tariff, meaning the customer can change their mobile phone plan on shorter notice.
Customers who previously opted for sim-only plans with iD will also be able to add a handset to their plan using the early upgrade scheme.
Its new mobile broadband plan will offer 25GB, 40GB and 60GB data bundles, with costs starting from €15 and contract lengths from 30 days to 24 months.
