"Hard-hitting" factual series The Criminal Assets Bureau, a first full run for lifestyle format Generation Dating and Lucy's Tribes, a "heartwarming" new four-part vehicle for presenter Lucy Kennedy, are among the programmes on Virgin Media Television's spring schedule.

Two ITV co-productions – the Cork-set drama Holding, based on Graham Norton’s novel of the same name, and crime thriller Redemption – will also be “landing shortly” on Virgin Media One, it said.

At a virtual launch event, Virgin Media Television director of content Bill Malone said the titles were "two of the biggest dramas we have ever invested in", while producers of the Criminal Assets Bureau series had "unprecedented access" to the agency.

Derry Girls actor Siobhán McSweeney, who appears in both Holding and Redemption, said the cast of Holding featured a mix of "newbies" and "stalwarts" and "me in the middle trying not to get fired", while Redemption, which stars Paula Malcomson in the lead role, would show viewers her more serious side.

“I hope they don’t burst out laughing when they see me,” said McSweeney.
