The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, has appointed former IBRC director Oliver Ellingham to the board of Nama.

Mr Ellingham was a non-executive director of IBRC until the former Anglo Irish Bank was liquidated in February. A former head of corporate finance (Europe) at BNP Paribas, he has also held executive roles at Charterhouse Bank and Robert Fleming.

He is a chartered accountant and holds a number of non-executive positions, including directorships at Vislink and the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes pension fund in Britain. He also owns a storage business: Woking Storage Solutions.

“Mr Ellingham has significant international experience in finance at both a senior management and board level and his skills and experience will make him an asset to the board of Nama,” said Mr Noonan.
