Eugene F. Collins appoints new managing partner

Law firm Eugene F. Collins has appointed Mark Walsh as managing partner for an initial three-year period.

Mr Walsh, who has been with the firm since 2001, took up the new post in January.

The company said Mr Walsh has worked on transactions such as the purchase of Westport House and acts for a number of key retail clients such as JD Sports, Zara, Marks & Spencer and the Tifco Hotel Group.

He will now be responsible for devising the firm’s strategic approach and the development of its business.

Mr Walsh said 2018 presents “an interesting year for Irish firms with an ever evolving and changing economic landscape”.

“I hope to lead Eugene F. Collins to new growth across our corporate, litigation, property and banking departments which are performing strongly and in the coming months, we will be making a number of appointments to lead us into the future,” he said.
