German inflation rose in June by 0.2 per cent on the year and by 0.1 per cent on the month, the Federal Statistics Office said on Tuesday, confirming preliminary estimates.
On a non-harmonised basis, consumer price inflation for June was also confirmed, with the index rising 0.3 per cent on the year and inching up 0.1 per cent on the month.
The increase was driven by higher food prices as well as small declines in energy prices.
This is the final reading for consumer prices, and confirms an earlier Destatis estimate published at the end of June.
