Construction firm Modubuild to create 100 new jobs in Kilkenny

New roles will be in areas such as design, engineering, project management, IT and R&D

At least 100 new jobs are to be created in Kilkenny over the next two years by engineering and construction firm, Modubuild.

The company, which provides specialist fast-track modular construction services, primarily for customers in the data centre and biopharma sectors, currently employs 400 people. The new roles will be in areas such as design, engineering, project management, IT, R&D, trades and support roles.

Modubuild, which has its headquarters in Castlecomer, says it has experienced “very strong organic growth over recent years”, having have tripled turnover in the last three years, along with achieving an average of 50 per cent year on year growth over the last six years. It says it has delivered projects for companies across 11 countries to date and has a network of regional offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Sweden, Finland and Spain. Its customers include Abbvie, Google, Pfizer, Amgen and MSD.

Commenting on the announcement, Modubuild’s managing director Kevin Brennan said: “We are really excited about what the future holds for Modubuild.
