The latest AIB Start-up Academy night was held in Dublin's 4 Dame Lane on Thursday, October 9. The academy is a joint venture between The Irish Times and AIB to help people start business by providing information, networking opportunities and the chance to win a place on an intensive training course run by Irish Times Training.
These nights are the first stage in the process and connect aspiring entrepreneurs with like-minded people and the wider startup community.
The event was hosted by Gary Quinn (The Irish Times) and featured talks from Dr Johnny Walker (Health Founders) and Jacquie Marsh (The Butler's Pantry), as well as "pitches" by two local startups: Dave McGeady (Wyldsson Nutrition) and Niamh McHugh (Pucker).
