In the end it came down to three contenders, although much as we'd love to offer the winner £70,000 he'll have to make do with our Irish Player of the Week award. First out of the house was young Barry Roche who made his full debut for Nottingham Forest against Sheffield Wednesday midweek, keeping a clean sheet (the wicked amongst you would say that's not all that tricky against Wednesday) and having an all-round more than decent game.
Robbie Keane was next to be evicted, despite scoring for Inter Milan in the UEFA Cup and giving a general impression of a lad who's not finding his settling in period half as difficult as we thought he might. So, who was left in the house? Goalkeeper Dean Kiely. If it wasn't for him Charlton would have lost about 5-1 to Spurs on Saturday but won 1-0 after he pulled off a string of mad saves, including two blinders from Les Ferdinand. He even earned a gushing tribute from his boss Alan Curbishly - "yeah, yeah - he did quite well". Calm down Curbs, calm down - you'll give the lad a big head.
