Sir, – Evaluating the Labour Party's performance, Senator Aodhán Ó Riordáin explains that the party "gave up a long time ago on absolute extremist adherence to principles" (Harry McGee, "What the Irish left can learn from Corbyn", June 13th).
In other words: “Those are our principles. If you don’t like them, we have others.”
Is it surprising that left-leaning voters prefer other parties? – Yours, etc,
