Sir, – It is informative reading Anne Harris note the "mass complicity by Irish society in the mother and baby homes scandal" (Opinion, June 29th).

It is quite possible that a future commission of investigation may similarly indict our current society over the shameful and inhumane direct provision system. – Yours, etc,
