Deadline for referendum vote registration is today

Voters may apply to be placed on supplementary electoral register up to 5pm

The deadline for registering to vote in the October 4th referendums is today at 5pm.

Voters have been urged to check whether they are on the Register of Electors for the ballots on the proposed abolition of the Seanad and on the establishment of a new court of appeal.

Individuals may apply in their local authority area to be placed on the register if they are not already listed. They may also apply if they have changed address.

Application forms are available from local authorities or on checktheregister.ie.
