Gardaí have announced traffic restrictions around O'Connell Street, Dublin, tomorrow to accommodate the Bloomsday Breakfast which is part of this year's Bloomsday festival programme.

The outdoor breakfast will be accompanied by street theatre, music, dance and comedy by performers from Ireland and overseas. The breakfast will be served from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Those planning to attend are encouraged to dress in Edwardian style.

O'Connell Street will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday from 4 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The breakfast, which is free, takes place on O'Connell Street from Parnell Street to Abbey Street.

Traffic travelling south from Parnell Square east to O'Connell Street will be diverted left to Parnell Street, to Marlborough Street, to Eden Quay, to Custom House Quay and on to Memorial Bridge.

Traffic travelling along the north quays will not be allowed to turn left on to O'Connell Street. Motorists travelling between Christchurch and O'Connell Bridge may be diverted temporarily between 4 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
