They rank the best in the Irish indigenous technology sector and will recognise companies that had exceptional growth in turnover over the last five years.

Last year’s winner ezetop topped the rankings with an impressive 6,986 per cent growth over five years. The company, which enables people living or working abroad to instantly top up mobile phones of friends and family back home, has a presence in 16 countries as well as online and mobile phones.

Deloitte partner Richard Howard said: "Year on year we see exceptional growth in this sector, last year the average growth rate of the Fast 50 companies was 556 per cent."
