AdRoll announces 100 new jobs for Dublin headquarters

Online ad firm to increase headcount to 220 as European growth outstrips expectations

Online advertising platform company AdRoll is to add 100 jobs at its Dublin office, bringing the total number of people it expects to employ there to 220.

The company, which officially opens its new offices in Dublin today, already employs 75 people at its Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters.

The firm opened the Irish operation in October, with the intention of creating 100 jobs in its first year. That was later expanded to 120 as growth in the EMEA region moved ahead of expectations.

AdRoll specialises in online advertising retargeting, which enables advertisers to show ads to users who have already visited their site or viewed their products while browsing the web.It currently has over 2,000 customers in more than 15 countries across Europe, and said its growth of more than 270 per cent “far exceeded” its original expectations for the region.

“We are excited about the talent we have found in Ireland and the response we’ve had since entering the European market,” said Aaron Bell, AdRoll CEO. “In just a few years, retargeting has become as essential as search engine marketing for every digital marketer, and we see the EMEA region as an engine for growth in the years ahead.”

Taoiseach Enda Kenny welcomed the announcement.

“It is a vote of confidence in Ireland to see AdRoll’s customer base expand so dramatically after locating its EMEA HQ in Dublin,” he said.

Adroll is backed by investors including Foundation Capital, Institutional Venture Partners, Northgate Capital, GlenMede, Accel Partners, Merus Capital, and Peter Thiel. In April, it secured a $70 million funding round, which it said would be used to build on the interest in advertising technology.
