Ryanair customers booking flights via the internet will be able to book specialised adventure breaks and activity holidays as well as discount flights following a new link up with Flyactiv.co.uk, a group which specialises in activity breaks.

Ryanair passengers will be able to book the activity breaks by clicking on the destination page of the company's website. Activities on offer include golf, cycling, fishing, skiing and snowboarding.

Mr Sean Coyle, commercial director of Ryanair, said the new link with Flyactiv.co.uk follows increased demand from the airline's passengers for information on and access to activity breaks and holidays at the destinations the group flies to across Europe.

"Our research indicates that customers are increasingly looking for challenging and sporting activities when they travel with Ryanair," he said.

"So whether its snowboarding in Salzburg, climbing in Carcassonne or catamaran sailing in Shannon, our new link with Flyactiv.co.uk offers you the perfect chance to match our low airfares with whatever fun-packed activity takes your fancy," he said.

As part of the new deal, Flyactiv.co.uk features a link to the Ryanair website allowing visitors looking for activity holidays to book their flights with the Irish airline.

Ms Alyson Playford, a spokeswoman for Flyactiv.co.uk said her group is "delighted to be linked to Europe's best travel website, Ryanair.com".

She added the new arrangement between the two companies allows Flyactiv.co.uk to offer an extensive range of activity-based holidays to all of Ryanair's 15 million passengers "ranging from golfing to snowboarding".
