Man found dead in Letterkenny died of natural causes, gardaí say

Gardaí confirm they are no longer investigating the death of man in his 60s

Gardaí have confirmed that the death of a man in Donegal in the early hours of Sunday morning was due to natural causes, and no further investigation will take place.

In a statement, gardaí said that the postmortem on the man's body, found in a house in Sylvan Park in Letterkenny, has been completed.

Gardaí said that the man passed away as a result of natural causes.

A file will now be prepared for the Coroners Court.

The man was aged in his 60s.

At about 2am on Sunday, paramedics who went to the property informed gardaí of the man’s death and a Garda operation immediately began.

The house was sealed off and secured overnight and the remains were left in situ.
