A home in Co Louth was attacked with a petrol bomb and set on fire in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident occurred at a house in the Rockfield Manor estate in Dundalk at about 2am, the Garda said.
Dundalk Fire Brigade arrived a short time later and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported to gardaí.
The Garda said it is investigating an incident of “criminal damage by fire” at the house. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident follows another arson attack on two garda cars in the town last Wednesday.
The vehicles - a patrol car and an unmarked Garda car – were damaged beyond repair following the attack which happened at about 2.30am.
