From Banteer in Co Cork, near from where Ireland's first Olympic gold medallist Pat O'Callaghan also hailed. Dunbar has had two injury setbacks over the last two seasons but is riding into excellent form, supporting teammate Richard Carapaz take victory at the Tour of Switzerland earlier this year, winning the best young rider classification in the process. At home in the mountains, the Mount Fuji circuit with its 4,865 metres of elevation gain should also suit him, and he's sure to be fight out hard for a leading position in the end
