Boy (16) seriously hurt in motorbike crash in Kerry

Gardaí appeal for witnesses after incident in Tarbert on Sunday

Gardaí in Co Kerry have appealed for witnesses after a teenage boy was seriously injured in a motorbike crash.

The 16-year-old was hurt when his bike crashed on Ferry Road, Tarbert, at about 2.30pm on Sunday.

A Garda spokesman said he was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and airlifted to Limerick University Hospital.

The scene was examined by Garda forensic collision investigators and enquiries are ongoing.
