The funeral of Eileen and Jamie O'Sullivan, the mother and son who died last week following a suspected double murder and suicide, will take place in the family's home village of Lixnaw in Co Kerry on Monday, September 20th.

The private family funeral will be held for Eileen O’Sullivan (56) and her 24-year-old son Jamie in St Michael’s Church in Lixnaw, followed by burial in Kilfeighney Cemetery, according to a death notice published on Sunday.

The family has appealed for privacy as they lay Eileen and Jamie to rest and have requested that people use the online condolences page to offer their sympathies. They also expressed gratitude for people’s “co-operation, support and understanding” during the difficult days since the mother and son’s death.
