As the year draws to a close, some notable sales have been recorded at a number of country auctions.

The most notable sale was a block of 17 one- and two-bed apartments at Bruach na hAbhainn in Spiddal, which sold in one lot for more than €1 million, an average of almost €60,000 per apartment.
Eight apartments in Dougishka, Co Galway, sold for €650,000 at the same auction, with four apartments in Oranmore, Co Galway, going for €255,000. Six holiday homes in the Glen of Aherlow, Co Tipperary also sold for €260,000.
