Marks & Spencer has an interesting range of wines, featuring plenty of less familiar grape varieties and regions. Prices may be a little higher compared with other supermarkets but in general quality is better.
Today, however, two wines from very well-known French wine regions. Muscadet is in northwest France, wrapped around the city of Nantes. The wines are light and refreshing, perfect for enjoying as an aperitif, with salads, or the local speciality: shellfish.
Almost every wine lover will be familiar with the name Bordeaux. The city is near the coast in southeast France, and its wines are typically medium-bodied although with climate change, Bordeaux is becoming warmer and the wines higher in alcohol.
