Steve Buscemi is set to join fellow actor Aidan Quinn on stage at the Abbey Theatre later this week as part of the Love at First Sight series.

Buscemi, known for roles on screen in productions such as The Sopranos and Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, joins Quinn to perform Ages of the Moon by Sam Shepard on Sunday, October 20th, at 7pm. The pair previously worked together on Bette Gordon’s 2009 film Handsome Harry.

The reading, chosen by Quinn, tells the tale of two old friends reunited. The performance will mark the second instalment of the Abbey’s Love at First Sight series which invites an actor choose a script they love, and a role they’ve always wanted to play, and give a live reading on the Abbey stage for just one performance.

The series opened with Fiona Shaw earlier this month with a reading of 7 Minutes by Stefano Massini.
