A man has been charged in connection with an alleged armed robbery from a shop in Blackrock, south Dublin.
On Monday, gardaí responded to reports of a man armed with a knife threatening staff at a shop before taking a sum of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
Gardaí searched the surrounding area near the shop and a suspect aged in his 50s, was arrested and taken to Blackrock Garda station for questioning.
A sum of cash was also recovered, the spokesman said.

The man has been charged in connection with the alleged robbery and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ) on Tuesday.
