The new roles will be in the areas of software development, product management, design, quality assurance, finance, sales, account management and marketing.

They will be located at MTT’s headquarters at Grand Canal Dock in Dublin.

MTT interim chief executive Bryan Conway said the expansion signals an exciting period of growth for MTT as it prepares to announce deals with some of the airline and travel industry's most well-known brands and continues to concentrate on winning more business in the travel industry.

He said travel is an $8 trillion industry, representing approximately 10 per cent of the global GDP and as the appetite for multi-device services from travellers increases exponentially, the opportunities for mobile travel are vast.

He said 2016 will see the mobile travel pioneer make further investments in new product development and innovation and expand its international footprint.

Last year, MTT launched multi-device apps for Singapore Airlines and one of the first airline apps on the Apple Watch with easyJet. Other clients include LATAM Airlines Group, easyJet, BCD Travel, Capita Travel and Events, Saudia and Flybe.

Founded in December 2005, the company was acquired last summer by Travelport, one of the biggest technology providers to the travel industry worldwide which works with over 400 airlines and 68,000 travel agencies around the globe.
