Fly Leasing, the aviation finance business led by former Aer Lingus chairman, Colm Barrington, has bought four new craft, including a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 737 Max 8.

The 787 is on a 12-year lease to a European airline while the Max 8 has been let to a Asian carrier, also for 12 years.

Fly also bought a new Boeing 737-800 on a 10-year lease to a European flag carrier and a new Airbus A320-200 on a 12-year lease to an Asian airline.

Mr Barrington, who is Fly’s chief executive, said that it continued to grow its fleet with craft already leased to airlines.
