Revenues at Dublin listed travel software firm Datalex increased by 15 per cent last year to $32.4 million.

The company, which counts Delta and Westjet among its customers, reported a 33 per cent increase in EBITDA to $5.8 million for the year ended December 31st.

It recorded a net profit of $1.1 million (up from a $1.4 million loss in the previous year) for the first time in a number of years, which it described as a “significant milestone”.

Datalex said cash reserves increased by 17 per cent to $14.6 million. The company said the cost of sales increased by 11 per cent to $32.3 million, which it said was associated with the number of deployments of its product with new customers.

Founded in 1985, Datalex is headquartered in Dublin, and maintains offices across Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific.

Datalex said it recorded a number of new customer wins last year including Virgin Australia and Oman Air and that these meant it was well placed to drive growth in its revenue line.

Challenges remain for both the company and its clients, Datalex said, but it expects to record EBITDA growth of between 25 and 30 per cent in 2013.

In a note, Davy Stockbrokers said it was comfortable with Datalex’s guidance and that it believed “the company will benefit from operating leverage as more transactions occur”.
